While women currently account for just 11 percent of the world’s billionaires, their numbers are the increase. According to Forbes, compiler and publisher of the world’s most definitive lists and wealth and money, there were only 172 women billionaires in 2014, and now there are 197. There are said to be 1,826 billionaires throughout the world, with 10 women filling spots from number eight (Christy Walton, our number one) to 82 (Iris Fontbone, our number 10). Between them they are worth a cool 251.9 billion US dollars.
